Job Description
CGI is seeking enthusiastic and aspiring individuals for a Cybersecurity Intern (Summer Placement) role. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic cybersecurity environment, learning from industry experts. This 100% remote position is designed for students with a keen interest in cybersecurity but no prior professional experience. You will contribute to real-world projects, enhancing your understanding of security principles, threat detection, and incident response, all while receiving comprehensive training and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the cybersecurity team with monitoring security systems and alerts.
- Participate in vulnerability scanning and reporting activities.
- Learn to analyze security incidents and contribute to basic incident response procedures.
- Support the documentation of security processes and procedures.
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
- Collaborate with team members on various security projects and initiatives.
- Engage in learning opportunities and training sessions provided by the team.
Required Skills
- Strong interest and passion for cybersecurity.
- Basic understanding of computer systems and networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
