Job Description
Join our dynamic Dining Services team at the University of New Brunswick as a Busser. In this fast-paced student environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our dining halls run smoothly and efficiently, contributing directly to a positive experience for our students. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and eager to learn, with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities
- Clear and reset dining tables quickly and efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining hall, including sweeping and mopping.
- Replenish condiment stations, beverages, and other supplies as needed.
- Properly dispose of waste and recyclables.
- Support kitchen staff by running dishes and assisting with light prep work.
- Interact positively with students and staff, offering assistance as required.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Help with general setup and breakdown for meal services.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items (up to 25 lbs) for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (current students encouraged to apply).
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service setting is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with university dining hall operations.
