Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Campground / RV Park Manager to oversee the daily operations of our beautiful coastal property in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a dedicated team, ensure outstanding guest experiences, and manage all aspects of a thriving outdoor destination. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of campground/RV park operations, including reservations, check-ins/outs, guest services, and facilities maintenance.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise seasonal and year-round staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with all regulations.
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, purchasing, cash handling, and reporting.
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to attract new guests and retain existing ones.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and effectively, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and supervise groundskeeping, utility services, and facility repairs, working with vendors as needed.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, appeal, and safety of all park amenities and sites.
  • Plan and organize recreational activities and events for guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of all park activities, including occupancy rates, revenue, and expenses.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience, preferably in hospitality, property management, or a similar field.
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with office software and reservation systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the seasonal nature of the business.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience specifically managing a campground, RV park, or similar outdoor recreational facility.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry for minor repairs.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
