Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Court Runner / Legal Courier! This active role involves the timely and secure transportation of legal documents, filings, and packages between our office, courthouses, law firms, and other designated locations throughout the Decatur and Atlanta metropolitan area. We are seeking a highly responsible, organized, and detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of urgency and excellent geographical knowledge. This position requires constant movement and interaction with various legal entities, ensuring critical documents reach their destinations promptly and accurately. A personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely pickup and delivery of legal documents, court filings, and packages.
- Navigating efficiently through the Decatur and greater Atlanta metropolitan area.
- Maintaining accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and court filings.
- Interacting professionally with court clerks, legal staff, and clients.
- Ensuring the security and confidentiality of all sensitive materials.
- Adhering to strict deadlines and court filing procedures.
- Performing other administrative duties as assigned, potentially including light office tasks.
Required Skills
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle with current insurance.
- Excellent knowledge of local geography (Decatur and Atlanta area).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 20 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Punctual and dependable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a courier or in a delivery role.
- Familiarity with court systems and legal procedures.
- Experience using GPS and navigation applications.
- Customer service experience.
