Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Sports Agency & Contract Law Intern to join our dynamic team in Kansas City, MO. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of professional sports representation and contract law. The successful candidate will work closely with our agents and legal counsel, assisting in various aspects of athlete management, contract review, and business operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports, law, and business, looking to build a foundational understanding of the industry. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone with no direct prior professional experience but a strong eagerness to learn and contribute.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist agents with research and preparation for contract negotiations.
- Review and summarize sports contracts, endorsements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct market research on athlete valuations, endorsement trends, and league rules.
- Support the team in client management tasks, including scheduling and communication.
- Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with administrative tasks to ensure smooth agency operations.
- Attend meetings and learn about the strategic aspects of athlete representation.
- Help monitor relevant sports news and legal developments affecting the industry.
