Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Electric Vehicle (EV) Powertrain Intern to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring engineer to gain hands-on experience with the latest EV powertrain systems. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to research, development, and testing activities. This role is designed for individuals with a strong theoretical understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles and a keen interest in electric vehicles. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal entry point for those eager to jumpstart their career in the EV sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly, testing, and validation of EV powertrain components and prototypes.
  • Support engineers in data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing projects.
  • Contribute to the design and development of test fixtures and equipment.
  • Research emerging EV powertrain technologies and market trends.
  • Perform basic diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on EV systems under supervision.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and mechanical principles.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High level of initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of EV architectures, battery systems, electric motors, and power electronics.
  • Experience with simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Ansys) for powertrain components.
  • Participation in collegiate design teams (e.g., Formula SAE Electric, EcoCAR).
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C++).
