Job Description
Join the Mattress Firm team as a Mattress Store Flipping Assistant. This role is crucial for maintaining our showroom’s appearance, assisting with inventory management, and preparing mattresses for delivery. This is a physically demanding position that requires consistent heavy lifting, often in a two-person team, to safely move and position a variety of mattress types and sizes. We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong work ethic who are comfortable with physical labor and thrive in a team-oriented environment. Full training will be provided on proper lifting techniques and store procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move, lift, and flip mattresses, including heavy models, typically as part of a two-person team.
- Assist with the unloading and loading of mattress shipments and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable showroom floor, ensuring mattresses are properly displayed.
- Help with inventory management, including counting and organizing stock.
- Support sales associates by ensuring products are accessible and ready for customer viewing.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines for heavy lifting and store operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects (100+ lbs with assistance) throughout an entire shift.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Capable of working effectively and cooperatively as part of a two-person team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures diligently.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a role requiring physical labor or heavy lifting is a plus.
- Basic understanding of inventory procedures.
- Customer service-oriented mindset (even if not directly customer-facing, contributes to store environment).
