Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Remote Data Privacy Compliance Assistant. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about data privacy and looking to start a career in compliance. No prior experience in data privacy is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in navigating the complexities of data protection regulations, ensuring their practices align with global standards. This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the chance to work from anywhere within the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of data privacy policies and procedures.
- Support the data privacy team in conducting risk assessments and data mapping exercises.
- Help maintain records of data processing activities.
- Research and monitor changes in data protection laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, DPA).
- Prepare reports and presentations on compliance status and recommendations.
- Assist with data subject access requests (DSARs) and other privacy-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to promote a culture of data privacy compliance.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to data privacy.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in data privacy, law, or technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning new concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or background in Law, IT, Business Administration, or a related field (not mandatory but beneficial).
- Familiarity with data protection concepts or regulations (e.g., GDPR) is a plus, but full training is provided.
