Are you looking to kickstart a career in logistics and warehousing but lack the necessary experience? Amazon Logistics in Salem, MA, is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Forklift Driver. No prior experience is required! We are committed to investing in our team members by providing comprehensive, paid training and funding for your forklift operator licence. This full-time position is perfect for highly motivated individuals who are eager to learn, safety-conscious, and ready to become an essential part of our operations team. You will start with basic warehouse duties, gradually learning to operate various types of forklifts under the guidance of experienced professionals, ultimately becoming a certified and valuable asset to our distribution center.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all training sessions to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for safe forklift operation.
- Learn and adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company procedures related to warehouse operations and material handling.
- Assist with general warehouse duties including manual loading/unloading, sorting, picking, and packing products.
- Support inventory management through accurate counting and verification of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Once licensed, operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials, products, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.
Required Skills

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items up to 50 lbs as needed.

- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (non-forklift related).
