Job Description
We are actively seeking dedicated and skilled Telecommunications Splicers/Linemen to join our growing team in Riverside, CA. This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and copper cable infrastructure that powers our communities. Key Responsibilities
- Install, splice, and repair fiber optic and copper telecommunications cables.
- Perform aerial and underground cable work, including climbing poles and working in confined spaces.
- Test and troubleshoot communication lines, identifying and resolving service issues.
- Operate various hand tools, power tools, and specialized splicing equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient project completion.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in telecommunications, electrical, or a related field (minimum 24 months).
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work at heights, in various weather conditions, and lift heavy objects.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Telecommunications Splicer or Lineman.
- Knowledge of fiber optic splicing techniques (fusion and mechanical).
- Understanding of copper cable installation and testing procedures.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one.
- Relevant industry certifications.
