Job Description
Join Cintas as a Laundry & Linen Route Driver and become a vital part of our service delivery team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering and picking up laundry and linen products for our valued commercial accounts. This includes uniforms, floor mats, and other textile services. You will manage your assigned route, build strong customer relationships, and ensure accurate inventory management on your truck. This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company policies.
- Deliver and pick up laundry, linen, and other textile products to commercial customers on an established route.
- Load and unload company truck at our facility and customer locations.
- Manage inventory on the truck, ensuring accurate counts and timely deliveries.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and providing excellent service.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, both on the road and at customer sites.
- Work independently to manage time and complete daily route assignments.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (Class C or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math and record-keeping skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a route delivery or customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Sacramento area and surrounding routes.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles (non-CDL).
