Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Ghost Kitchen Expo / Order Expediter to join our innovative team in Corner Brook. This is a critical role in a fast-paced, high-tech environment where efficiency and accuracy are paramount. As an Expediter, you will be the central hub for all outgoing orders, ensuring seamless coordination between kitchen staff, delivery platforms, and ultimately, our customers. You will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards for speed, quality, and customer satisfaction in a delivery-only model.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify all outgoing orders for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize sophisticated kitchen display systems (KDS) and delivery platform interfaces to manage order flow.
- Efficiently package and label orders for multiple brands and delivery services.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and dispatch.
- Monitor delivery driver arrivals and departures, ensuring prompt handover of orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient expediting station.
- Troubleshoot minor order discrepancies and resolve issues proactively.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with technology and a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or expediting role.
- Familiarity with Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Experience working with third-party delivery platforms (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes).
- Food Handler's Certificate.
