Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Aviation Parts Courier to join our fast-paced logistics team in Henderson, NV. This critical role involves the timely and secure delivery of essential aircraft components to various locations, primarily within the Las Vegas metropolitan area and sometimes to regional airports. The successful candidate must possess an impeccable driving record, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and security. This is an on-site position vital to the smooth operation of our aviation clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport aviation parts and equipment to designated locations, including airports, hangars, and repair facilities.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company driving policies, and aviation security regulations.
- Verify accurate part numbers and quantities against manifests for all deliveries and pickups.
- Operate company vehicles, including vans and light trucks, in a professional and careful manner.
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt of goods.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and internal teams regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Handle parts with care, ensuring proper packaging and security during transit.
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as required.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with an impeccable driving record (no major infractions within the last 5 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Proficient in navigating with GPS and reading maps.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as aviation schedules demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a courier, delivery, or logistics role.
- Familiarity with aviation terminology or parts (basic understanding helpful).
- Experience operating light commercial vehicles.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
