Job Description

HDR, Inc. is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Theme Park Attraction Design Intern to join our innovative team in Folsom, CA. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers and engineers in the research and development of new attraction concepts and ideas.
• Prepare detailed sketches, renderings, and 2D/3D models using various design software to visualize concepts.
• Support the creation of presentation materials, including storyboards, mood boards, and design documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and gather reference materials related to theme park technology, safety standards, and guest experience.
• Participate in design meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing creative input and fresh perspectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, landscape designers, and ride engineers, to integrate various design elements.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the design team, ensuring projects stay organized and on schedule.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino) for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with 3D rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Keyshot).
