Job Description
Are you eager to launch a career in the construction industry but lack prior experience? Coastal Construction Solutions is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as General Labourers. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity where no experience is required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to help you develop essential construction skills. As a General Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our skilled trades and ensuring our construction sites operate efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks on site.
- Load and unload construction materials and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by clearing debris and waste.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision, following safety guidelines.
- Dig trenches, prepare sites, and assist with general ground work.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned by site supervisors.
Required Skills
- No prior construction experience required (full training provided)
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude towards learning
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles (preferred, but not required)
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Basic first aid and CPR certification
