Job Description
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Workers to join our dynamic team in Valdosta, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about precision fabrication and committed to producing high-quality metal components. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal products according to specifications and blueprints. Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to determine project requirements.
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on sheet metal according to drawings.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products and equipment such as ducts, control boxes, and custom components.
- Operate various metalworking tools and machinery, including shears, brakes, presses, and welding equipment.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and project goals.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Experience with various metalworking tools and machinery.
- Ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in sheet metal work or a related field.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for sheet metal design.
- Previous experience working with diverse metal types (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
