Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our team in Quebec City. Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft systems and components.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using various diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including logbooks, work orders, and maintenance records.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Transport Canada regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Participate in shift briefings and provide detailed turnovers to ensure continuity of operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Mentor junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License (M1 or M2)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed AME
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, including airframe, engines, avionics, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written) is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on specific aircraft types within the Air Canada fleet (e.g., Airbus A220, A320 Family, Boeing 737, 787)
- Additional specialized training or certifications
- Experience with maintenance tracking software (e.g., AMOS, SAP)
