Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Surveying Assistant to join our team in Kalgoorlie. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with no prior experience in surveying who are eager to learn and develop new skills. You will receive comprehensive training in the use of modern GPS tools, data collection techniques, and various aspects of land and mine surveying. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior surveyors with setting up and operating GPS and other surveying equipment.
  • Carry out basic measurements and data collection under supervision.
  • Maintain and clean surveying equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Assist in recording field data and preparing preliminary reports.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and site-specific procedures.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Help with site preparation and mark-out activities as required.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
