Job Description

Pinnacle Financial Solutions is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Intern to join our Human Resources team in Lincoln, Nebraska. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing and implementing DEI initiatives within a corporate environment. The successful candidate will support our ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive culture, promote equitable practices, and ensure diversity is woven into the fabric of our organization. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about social justice and human resources, looking to make a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the research, development, and implementation of DEI strategies and programs.
  • Support the organization of DEI-focused events, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal communications that promote DEI awareness and engagement.
  • Help analyze data related to diversity metrics, employee demographics, and inclusion survey results.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and employee resource groups (ERGs) to foster an inclusive environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks and project coordination as needed to support the DEI team.
  • Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proactive, self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with HR processes and corporate environments.
  • Experience with research and data analysis.
  • Previous involvement in DEI initiatives or student organizations.
