Job Description
GardaWorld is seeking dedicated and aspiring individuals to join our team as a Trainee Security Officer in Mississauga, Ontario. We are committed to your success and will fully fund your Security Industry Authority (SIA) license, providing all necessary training to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel. As a Trainee Security Officer, you will be an integral part of maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their premises. You will receive comprehensive training covering essential security procedures, conflict resolution, first aid, and customer service, preparing you for a diverse range of challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Learning and strictly adhering to all company policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Patrolling designated areas to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
- Monitoring surveillance equipment and reporting any suspicious incidents or breaches.
- Responding to alarms and emergency situations in a calm and effective manner.
- Documenting and reporting all incidents, observations, and activities accurately.
- Providing exceptional customer service and assistance to clients, visitors, and staff.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
Required Skills
- No prior security experience is necessary – full training provided.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.
- A keen eye for detail and strong observational abilities.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass background checks and obtain a security license (funded by GardaWorld).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G class driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (training can be provided).
- Previous experience in customer service or public interaction roles.
