Job Description

Kier Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveying Cadet to join our dynamic team in Salisbury. This entry-level role is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in all aspects of quantity surveying within a live project environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning the essential skills required to manage project costs, contracts, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior Quantity Surveyors with project cost control and financial management.
  • Support in the preparation of tender documents, contract administration, and valuations.
  • Learn to measure and value works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Help in the analysis of project variations and claims.
  • Participate in site visits to gain practical understanding of construction processes and progress.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • Contribute to risk management and cost reporting.
  • Actively engage in all training and development initiatives provided.

  • Previous work experience or volunteering in a related field (not essential but beneficial).
