Job Description

Kier Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveying Cadet to join our dynamic team in Salisbury. This entry-level role is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in all aspects of quantity surveying within a live project environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning the essential skills required to manage project costs, contracts, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior Quantity Surveyors with project cost control and financial management.
- Support in the preparation of tender documents, contract administration, and valuations.
- Learn to measure and value works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Help in the analysis of project variations and claims.
- Participate in site visits to gain practical understanding of construction processes and progress.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Contribute to risk management and cost reporting.
- Actively engage in all training and development initiatives provided.
Required Skills

- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grade C/4 or above.
- Previous work experience or volunteering in a related field (not essential but beneficial).
