Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Marina Support Staff. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with people, and isn’t afraid of manual tasks. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for assisting our valued customers, maintaining the marina’s cleanliness and functionality, and ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for all. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry point into the maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist boaters with docking, undocking, and securing vessels safely.
- Perform general marina maintenance, including cleaning docks, jetties, and common areas.
- Operate and maintain marina equipment such as pressure washers, trolleys, and utility vehicles.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, answering inquiries and assisting with basic requests.
- Monitor marina facilities and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Assist with waste management and recycling initiatives within the marina.
- Support special events and activities held at the marina.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 20kg.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with boating or marine environments.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
