Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Data Specialist to join our finance and HR team in Wetherill Park. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of payroll data for a large and diverse workforce. Key Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of payroll data accurately and efficiently, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
- Maintain the integrity of the payroll system by conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
- Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management and compliance purposes.
- Resolve payroll-related queries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with month-end and year-end payroll procedures, including tax reporting and superannuation.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless data flow and process improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll processing or data management role.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including Fair Work Act, superannuation, and taxation.
- Proficiency with large-scale payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP, Oracle HCM).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience working within a large corporate or retail environment.
- Certification in payroll administration or a related discipline.
