Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Triage / Telehealth Nurses to join our growing remote care team in Wigan. You will be instrumental in providing critical initial assessments, health advice, and patient management through telephone and video consultations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and video triage assessments of patient symptoms and health concerns.
- Provide accurate and appropriate health information, advice, and guidance to patients based on clinical protocols.
- Assess urgency of care and direct patients to the most appropriate level of care, including emergency services, GP appointments, or self-care advice.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations clearly and concisely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient pathways and continuity of care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
- Adhere to all clinical governance, professional standards, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration or eligibility for registration if applying from overseas (support provided for registration process).
- Minimum of 2 years post-registration nursing experience in an acute, primary care, or urgent care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathy remotely.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telephone triage or telehealth services.
- Post-registration qualification in advanced clinical practice or relevant specialism.
- Familiarity with UK healthcare systems and pathways.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
