Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Diversity & Inclusion Lead with a strong HR and benefits focus to join our team in Canberra. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive D&I strategies that align with our organisational values and business objectives. You will collaborate closely with HR business partners, talent acquisition, and leadership to embed inclusive practices across all HR functions, with a particular emphasis on equitable benefits, compensation, and employee well-being programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in driving measurable D&I outcomes within a complex corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Diversity & Inclusion strategy aligned with Deloitte's global D&I goals and local business needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on D&I best practices, policies, and initiatives.
  • Partner with HR teams to integrate D&I principles into all HR processes, including talent acquisition, performance management, career development, and succession planning.
  • Analyse D&I metrics and data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Design and implement D&I-focused learning and development programs for all levels of employees.
  • Evaluate and enhance employee benefits and compensation packages to ensure equity and inclusivity, catering to a diverse workforce.
  • Lead and support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and other D&I-related forums.
  • Stay abreast of D&I trends, legislation, and competitor activities to ensure Deloitte remains a leader in inclusive practices.
  • Communicate D&I initiatives and progress effectively across the organisation.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Diversity & Inclusion, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing D&I strategies and programs.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employee benefits.
  • Proven ability to analyse data, identify insights, and translate them into actionable D&I initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Diversity & Inclusion (e.g., CCDP, Cornell D&I Certificate).
  • Experience working within a large professional services firm or global organisation.
  • Familiarity with Australian employment law and D&I regulations.
