Job Description
Join Vortex VFX Solutions as a Compositing & Nuke VFX Intern and embark on an exciting journey into the world of visual effects. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compositing using industry-standard software, primarily Nuke. Under the guidance of experienced VFX artists, you will learn the core principles of compositing, roto-scoping, keying, paint, and integration of various elements to create seamless and stunning visual effects shots. This role is ideal for individuals eager to kickstart their career in VFX, with a strong passion for digital art and storytelling, and a foundational understanding of visual aesthetics. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent stepping stone for your professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior compositors with various tasks, including roto-scoping, keying, and paint work.
- Learn and apply fundamental compositing techniques in Nuke.
- Organize and manage project files and assets efficiently.
- Participate in daily reviews and actively incorporate feedback into your work.
- Contribute to the creation of visual effects elements under supervision.
- Maintain a strong understanding of visual consistency and artistic quality.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as lighting and animation.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of visual effects principles and filmmaking.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Photoshop, GIMP) is a plus.
- Strong eye for detail, color, and composition.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new software and workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to take direction and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong portfolio showcasing any personal artwork or digital projects is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (e.g., animation, film, visual effects, digital media).
