Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Loss Prevention Manager to join our team in Bruce, ACT. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, minimizing inventory shrink, preventing loss from internal and external theft, and ensuring a safe shopping and working environment. You will lead by example, implement proactive strategies, conduct investigations, and collaborate with store management to uphold our operational excellence and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive loss prevention programs and strategies to reduce shrink and protect company assets.
• Conduct thorough investigations into instances of theft, fraud, and policy violations, preparing detailed reports and collaborating with law enforcement as necessary.
• Monitor and analyze CCTV surveillance systems, point-of-sale data, and other security technologies to identify potential risks and incidents.
• Train store staff on loss prevention best practices, safety procedures, and policy compliance.
• Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with store management to integrate loss prevention initiatives into daily operations and foster a culture of vigilance.
• Manage and respond to emergency situations, ensuring the safety of customers and team members.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and loss prevention activities.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in loss prevention or asset protection within a retail environment.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills with an ability to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with staff, management, and external authorities.
• Proficiency in operating and interpreting security surveillance systems (CCTV).
• Solid understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and shrink reduction techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in training and mentoring staff.
• High level of integrity and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in Loss Prevention, Security Management, or Criminal Justice.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with specific retail point-of-sale and inventory management software.
• First Aid and/or CPR certification.
