Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Blockchain Developer / Web3 Engineer to join our innovative team in Uptown Charlotte. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust blockchain solutions and decentralized applications (DApps) that enhance our financial products and services. You will work with various blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and Web3 technologies, contributing to a secure and scalable infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of blockchain principles, strong programming skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Visa support is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable blockchain solutions and smart contracts, primarily on Ethereum-compatible networks.
- Integrate Web3 technologies and decentralized applications (DApps) with existing financial systems and platforms.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and security audits of blockchain code and smart contracts.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality products.
- Research and evaluate new blockchain technologies, protocols, and industry trends to inform future development.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices.
- Document technical specifications, architecture, and deployment processes.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in blockchain development or Web3 engineering.
- Proficiency in Solidity for smart contract development.
- Strong understanding of Ethereum blockchain, EVM, and ERC standards.
- Experience with Web3.js or Ethers.js.
- Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
- Familiarity with cryptographic principles and secure coding practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Truffle, Hardhat, or similar development frameworks.
- Familiarity with Layer 2 scaling solutions (e.g., Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism).
- Understanding of decentralized storage solutions like IPFS.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of other blockchain protocols (e.g., Hyperledger Fabric, Corda).
- Previous experience in the financial services or fintech industry.
