Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and meticulous Catering Van Driver to join our dynamic team in Goodyear, AZ. This essential role involves the safe and timely delivery and setup of catering orders to various event locations across the region. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a strong commitment to punctuality, and excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for loading and unloading catering equipment, ensuring food items are transported securely, and interacting professionally with clients upon delivery. This is a full-time, on-site position critical to our operational success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company catering vans for event drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Load and unload catering equipment, food, and supplies with care.
- Ensure all food items are transported securely and maintained at appropriate temperatures.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients during deliveries.
- Assist with basic setup of catering items at event locations as needed.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
- Adhere to delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy catering equipment (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and read maps effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or logistics role, preferably in food service.
- Familiarity with the Phoenix metropolitan area roads and traffic patterns.
- Experience driving commercial vans or similar vehicles.
