Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Tire Fitting Technician to join our growing team in Bracknell. This role involves traveling to various customer locations to provide expert tire fitting, balancing, and repair services. You will be provided with a fully equipped company van and operate on an on-call roster, responding to calls and pre-booked appointments efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Perform mobile tire fitting, balancing, and repairs for a variety of vehicles (cars, vans, light commercial).
- Inspect tires and wheels for damage, wear, and proper inflation, advising customers on necessary replacements or repairs.
- Operate specialist tire changing and balancing equipment accurately and safely.
- Manage inventory in the company van, ensuring all necessary tools and stock are available.
- Process payments and complete digital paperwork accurately using mobile devices.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining services clearly and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Participate in an on-call roster, including evenings and weekends, to provide emergency tire services.
Required Skills
- Full UK Driving License (clean preferred)
- Proven experience in tire fitting and repair (minimum 1 year)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work on an on-call roster, including unsocial hours
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
- Experience with mobile tire fitting services
- First Aid certification
- Experience with commercial vehicle tires
