Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Public Hospital Porters / Orderlies. This is an immediate start, full-time position offering comprehensive benefits. As a Porter/Orderly, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital, assisting patients and staff with transport, maintaining cleanliness, and providing essential support services. No prior specific experience as a porter is required; we provide full training for motivated candidates who are eager to learn and contribute to a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely and comfortably between various departments, ensuring proper handling and care.
  • Assist medical staff with patient transfers, lifts, and positioning as needed.
  • Deliver and collect medical records, laboratory specimens, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, tidying patient areas, and managing waste.
  • Respond promptly to requests from nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and IV poles are clean and readily available.
  • Provide compassionate support and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.

  • Familiarity with hospital environments or healthcare settings.
