Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sustainability Intern to join our team, focusing on Corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Reporting. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability to gain hands-on experience within a leading property group. You will play a crucial role in supporting our sustainability initiatives, data collection, and reporting processes, contributing directly to our public ESG disclosures. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals with little to no prior experience but a strong desire to learn and make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of environmental data (e.g., energy, water, waste) for corporate reporting.
- Support the preparation of ESG reports, disclosures, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct research on emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices in ESG reporting.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives across our portfolio.
- Help maintain our sustainability data management systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with various internal departments to gather relevant information for ESG performance tracking.
- Support the team with ad-hoc administrative tasks related to sustainability projects.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in sustainability, environmental science, corporate social responsibility, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) is a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience with data entry or analysis (academic projects welcome).
