Job Description
Join Quantum Leap Innovations as a UI Design Intern and embark on an exciting journey into app interface design. This internship offers a unique mentorship opportunity, perfect for individuals with a passion for user-centered design who are eager to learn and grow within a professional environment. You will work closely with experienced designers, contributing to real projects and gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the full design lifecycle. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a keen eye for detail and a desire to shape engaging digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for mobile and web applications.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for user interface improvements.
- Conduct user research and usability testing under supervision, gathering feedback to inform design decisions.
- Help maintain and evolve design systems and style guides.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure design integrity during implementation.
- Learn and apply best practices in UI/UX design, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Receive direct mentorship and feedback on your design work to foster continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and design methodologies.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch (even if self-taught).
- A strong portfolio (even if academic or personal projects) demonstrating design potential.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take constructive criticism and iterate on designs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS) is a plus but not required.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation for interfaces.
