Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented National Statistics Data Collector to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role involves both field-based data collection within designated communities and office-based data entry and verification tasks. The successful candidate will be instrumental in gathering critical statistical information for national surveys and research projects, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person interviews and surveys with individuals and households in assigned geographic areas, adhering to strict protocols and ethical guidelines.
- Travel to various field locations within the region to collect data using provided tools and methodologies (e.g., tablets, questionnaires).
- Accurately record and transcribe collected data into digital systems, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- Verify and cross-reference data for accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all collected information and respondent identities.
- Communicate effectively with respondents, explaining the purpose of surveys and ensuring their comfort and cooperation.
- Attend regular training sessions and team meetings to ensure consistent application of data collection methods.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project supervisors.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
