Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Casual Barista to join our team for day shifts at The Grindstone Cafe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves coffee and enjoys working in a vibrant, customer-focused environment. While previous barista experience is a plus, we are happy to provide comprehensive training to candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to learn and excel in the art of coffee making. You’ll be responsible for crafting a variety of hot and cold beverages, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the cafe’s inviting atmosphere during our busiest daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.) to high standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other cafe equipment.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, often using a POS system.
- Provide friendly, prompt, and exceptional customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and cafe area.
- Assist with light food preparation and serving when required.
- Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to a positive and energetic work environment.
