Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Cardboard Baler Operator. This is an entry-level position with full paid training provided for candidates who are eager to learn and grow. As a Baler Operator, you will be responsible for operating baling equipment to compress cardboard and other recyclable materials, ensuring efficient processing and proper material handling within our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate baling equipment safely and efficiently to compress cardboard and other designated materials.
- Monitor baler operation, identify and resolve minor issues, and report major malfunctions to supervisors.
- Load materials into the baler manually or with provided equipment.
- Ensure baled materials meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the baler.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other general labor tasks as needed within the recycling facility.
Required Skills
- Ability to learn and operate machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- No prior experience required – full paid training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with waste management or recycling processes.
