This is a fantastic entry-level position designed for highly motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the insurance industry. We provide comprehensive, paid training to equip you with all the knowledge and skills needed to become a successful Claims Adjuster. In this desk-based role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims efficiently and fairly, primarily interacting with policyholders and other parties over the phone and through written correspondence. Key Responsibilities
- Complete and actively participate in a comprehensive paid training program to learn all aspects of claims adjusting.
- Investigate, document, and analyze claim facts, including reviewing policy coverage and determining liability.
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, and other parties to gather information and explain the claims process.
- Evaluate damages and losses, negotiating fair and timely settlements.
- Utilize GEICO's proprietary systems and tools to manage and process claims.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the claims handling process.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and empathetic service.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to continuously improve claims processes and outcomes.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A strong desire to learn and adapt to new information and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in any field.
