Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Day Shift Pickers for casual work at our Port Augusta facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible hours and an energetic work environment. As a Day Shift Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products from our warehouse shelves, ensuring they are ready for dispatch to our stores. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specified guidelines and standards.
- Operate manual handling equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks (training provided).
- Perform quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily targets and operational goals.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and product codes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical fitness, including the ability to lift and carry items up to 15kg repeatedly.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills (verbal and written).
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment (not essential, but a plus).
- Current forklift license (LF/LO) is an advantage, but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
