Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Medicare Service Assistant to join our Footscray team. This is a face-to-face role where you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance with Medicare services. You will provide essential support by guiding clients through various processes, answering inquiries, and facilitating claims. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Medicare inquiries, claims processing, and general information face-to-face.
- Guide clients through the application process for Medicare cards, patient registration, and other related services.
- Verify client details and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of Medicare policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations.
- Manage queues and client flow within the service center.
- Resolve client issues and escalate complex cases to senior staff when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare services and policy changes.
